NEC Laboratories America, Inc., Cupertino Campus
Head of Department: Kai Yu
Sr. Admin. Assistant: Sue Frasula
We envision a context-aware services environment that senses the real intent
of its users and renders services for people's everyday life. Current
research focuses on developing cutting-edge machine learning, computer
vision, and text mining techniques to recognize semantic-level information
from large-scale online media, including images, video, and text, and using
the technology to develop intelligent systems for video surveillance,
customer relationship management, digital signage, and mobile services.
