Eric Cosatto is a Senior Member of the Research Staff at NEC Laboratories, Princeton NJ. Previously he was a Principal Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Labs Research, Middletown, NJ. He received his Ph.D. in engineering science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2002 and his master degree in computer science from the same school in 1991. His research interests include optimization and acceleration of classification algorithms such as SVMs (Support Vector Machines) and Neural Networks, computer vision, computer graphics, computer user interfaces, image understanding and image processing. Dr. Cosatto has authored/coauthored over 30 papers on these topics and he holds 18 patents with several more pending.
