1988-1992	Research institute Ruder Boskovic in the Laser and Atomic R&D (LAIR) department: research associate and later research scientist.
1992-1996	University of Paderborn, Germany: research associate and later research assistant and Ph.D. student.
1996-	NEC Labs, Princeton USA: (senior) research associate.

Igor has an INTP/J personality "disorder", and as a consequence has worked on everything that he found interesting, in many diverse environments, on many diverse (but subtly interconnected) projects: from quantum physics, computational biology, signal processing, massive parallel systems, mathematical (numerical and symbolical) optimizations aka machine learning (ML), economics, psychology, formal methods, theorem proving, compiler/interpreter/language design, networking, etc.

Igor is particularly interested in application of ML in board games like: Othello, Chess & Go.
