Medical, Dental and Vision Care Plans
Our medical plan benefits include a PPO option, a HDHP option, and an HMO option. Coverage for prescription drugs also is included. Our dental coverage is a PPO plan offering network and non-network alternatives. Our vision care plan pays for examinations, lenses, and frames.
You will be eligible to receive two times your pay in company-provided life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. In addition, you may purchase supplemental life insurance up to five times of your salary. Dependent life insurance is also available.
We provide a generous Salary Continuance Program if you cannot work due to an illness or disability which qualifies for Short-Term Disability or Workers’ Compensation. The plan pays 100% of your salary for the first 30 days and then 66-2/3% for the remaining 180 days.
Our Long-Term Disability Program allows employees to participate on a voluntary basis through payroll deductions. This coverage provides monthly income protection beginning on the 181st day of disability to a maximum of $10,000 per month.
Employee Assistance Program
All employees eligible for medical coverage and their eligible dependents are covered by NEC’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The EAP can provide help for stress, anxiety, depression, or conflict, and is designed to help individuals through issues before they escalate into bigger problems.
Savings and Retirement Program
Our savings and retirement program makes it easy for you to save for retirement from your date of hire. You have the option to contribute on a pre-tax basis, after-tax basis, or through a Roth 401(k). The company matches 50% of up to 6% of your 401(k) contributions. After one year of service, you qualify to receive an additional company contribution equal to 2% of your salary.

Vacations and Holidays
The number of vacation days accrued each year is based on length of service and range from 15 days to 25 days per year. Additionally, you receive 11 paid holidays per year.
NEC provides 13 sick/personal days you may use for employee or family member illness or other personal emergencies.
Educational reimbursements will compensate you for expenses associated with career-related coursework.
Although certain core hours may be required, many managers will allow their staff members to work flex hours to better accommodate their personal schedules.
