Yusuf Elbana is a Research Assistant in the Optical Sensing & Solutions Department at NEC Laboratories America. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Rutgers University.

In his role, Yusuf develops software and computational tools that support a range of research projects, working closely with colleagues across the lab to bring new ideas from concept to implementation. His work spans distributed sensing applications, where he builds the underlying tools that let researchers collect, process, and analyze data across sensor networks. Yusuf brings a strong technical foundation and a collaborative approach to every project, contributing to research that pushes the boundaries of optical sensing technology.
