Multiagent Systems (MAS) are computational frameworks in which multiple autonomous agents interact within a shared environment, each perceiving inputs and taking actions in pursuit of individual or collective objectives. Agents may cooperate, compete, or negotiate, and their interactions can produce emergent system-level behaviors. Grounded in game theory, distributed computing, and reinforcement learning, MAS research addresses coordination, communication, and scalability, with applications in robotics, supply chain optimization, and autonomous AI pipelines.
