Physics-IQ is a standardized evaluation benchmark for measuring how accurately AI-generated videos reproduce real-world physical behavior. It assesses model outputs across five domains: solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, optics, magnetism, and thermodynamics, comparing the timing and spatial alignment of key physical events in generated video against reference recordings of real phenomena. NEC Laboratories America uses Physics-IQ to evaluate the physical realism of video generation models, including research on the PhyCo framework.
