Nonlinear Waveguides are optical waveguides in which the refractive index or other material properties depend on the intensity of the propagating light. This nonlinear response enables phenomena such as frequency conversion, self phase modulation, and four wave mixing. Nonlinear waveguides are widely used in integrated photonics and optical signal processing to manipulate light at high speeds.
